EDQUM

EDQUM

Enhanced Divisional Quality Use of Medicines (EDQUM) is a program whereby savings produced in the cost of the Pharmaceutical Benefits scheme as a result of the Division’s efforts to improve the use of medications in our region are
re-invested in public health activities with the Division.

Hawkesbury-Hills Division of General Practice’s EDQUM program comprises 3 parts:
  1. Increasing the availability of Allied Health Care services within the General Practice setting.
  2. Working with practices to improve their information management systems.
  3. Implementing new models of primary health care support that showcase closer integration of General Practice and other community and primary health care providers.
